Neshannock Creek

I fished Neshannock Creek today for about 2 hours.  It was snowing and around 24 degrees outside, but when you dress appropriately the cold doesn't matter.  It was a beautiful scene on the creek with the snow coming down (Pictures below).    I only had 1 hook up on a nymph.

No fishing lately...

I have not been fishing in the past 2 weeks or so.  I am hoping to get out this Sunday @ Neshannock creek, as long as the water goes down.  It has been raining a lot here lately, I hope 4 days is enough for the water to get back to normal.  I will post some pictures of the water.

Until then, tight lines...

Adam and I (Shawn) fished the Yough today Sunday, November 07, 2010.  Was a decent day, we finally figured out where the islands are after the Ramcat rapids.  Cold day, started off around 24 degrees was a very light dusting of snow on the ground.  After about 1 ½ hours of fishing, we started to move up stream and Adam decided to fall on his face right in the freezing cold water.  He is a man, fished the rest of the day in soaking wet cloths…lol

This was Adams first time fly fishing.  He did great and has a good concept of the basic cast.

The fish were hitting like always at the Yough, caught a few trout.

Youghiogheny river near Confluence, PA

Fishing was decent at the Yough on Saturday October 23, 2010.  Between the two of us we caught 3 Rainbow Trout, one got lose and had a few hookups.  The last bow was a decent fight for only being 16".  Started off cooler at 35 degrees, here are some photos.

Steelhead fishing in Erie, PA

Adam and I went to Walnut creek in Erie on Saturday 16, 2010.  We arrived at Poor Richards bait shop around 5:50 am got some single eggs and some minnows, then headed down to Walnut.  We chose to fish Manchester hole because we only had a few hours before we had to head back to Pittsburgh (Home).  We had multiple hook ups and I managed to get one in!  We forgot the camera in the car, but took pictures later.  All in all it was a great trip because of the recent rain in Erie, the water was a tad bit high but still clear, it was in the 60's and the sun was shinning.
